Remarkable Suicide Pact in China. United Press Assn.—By Elsctrio Telegraph—Copyright. PEKIN, June 25. A remarkable suicide pact resulting in the death of nine Chinese girls between the ages of thirteen and nineteen years is reported in the local newspapers. The girls tied themselves together with a chain and jumped into the sea near Iluian, on the Fukien coast. Seven of the girls were first cousins and all but the youngest committed suicide owing to dissatisfaction with married life. An official investigation is likely.
