TWO GOOD PICTURES.
“ Supernatural ” and “ Cash ” at Theatre Royal. “ Supernatural ” and “ Cash ” are the two films which make up an attractive double-feature programme at the Theatre Royal this week. “ Supernatural ” is spiritual in its theme, while i “ Cash ” is materialistic, dealing in a humorous fashion with the doings of a group of hard-headed financiers. “ Supernatural ” tells of an attempt to make an attractive young girl the tool in a revolting crime. The unfolding of the story gives a capable cast every opportunity to display their talents. Carole Lombard has the part of the victimised young woman, and gives a convincing presentation. Robert Donat has the principal role in “Cash.” As the young electricity inspector who finds it hard to collect cash from his company’s consumers, he has a part suited to his whimsical personality. Edmund Gwenn provides some splendid comedy with his efforts to make capital out of what he considers a first-class idea.
