' WELLINGTON, June 26. The term of office of the Hon C. J. Smith and the Hon R. Scott as members of the Legislative Council erpired on Sunday night last. Questioned to-day as to wflether the Government intended to reappoint these members, Mr Forbes said the Government did not intend to make any more appointments at present. This means that the Council will commence its session with a membership of 31.
