The Canterbury College University Council at its meeting yesterday expressed its sincere thanks to Mrs J. S. Alabaster for her action in surrendering all her interest in the sum of £IOOO bequeathed to Canterbury College under*the will of the late Mr A. H. Alabaster for the purpose of founding and establishing an annual scholarship in classical literature.
