PROTEST AGAINST ARRESTS

A protest against the arrest of five men in Palmerston North in connection with recent disturbances was carried unanimously at a well-attended meeting of unemployed held in the Trades Hall on Saturday. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Canterbury Unemployed Workers’ Association. The immediate release of the men was demanded.
