Last Wednesday the Rev F. A Tooley and members of St John’s Vestry. Woolston, held an evening at the residence of Mr J. R. Douglass in honour of Mr T. Harris, a past member ot the vestry and an active church member for the last twentv-nine years. The first part of the evening was spent in cards During supper Mr Tooley. on behalf of members of the vestry, presented Mr Harris with a Prayer Book in token of their esteem and recogo j tion of his good service to the church ! Messrs E. C. Champion (synodmanf. jJ. R. Douglass (people’s warden) and I L. R.
