AUSTRIAN TERRORISM.

Special Police Force to Be Formed. VIENNA. June 16. In view of the numerous acts of terrorism throughout the country, the Cabinet has decided to restore the death sentence for ordinary offences, and to establish throughout Austria a voluntary force of constabulary, called the Ortswehr. It is stated that “ members of this force, although expected to act within the law, will be fully protected if they overstep the law through inadvertence.” A communique, issued at midnight, appeals to the populace to collaborate with the authorities in preventing terrorism.
