COMEDY-DRAMA.
Irene Dunne Has Lead in “ This Man is Mine.”
“ Design for Living ” will be screened finally to-night at the Tivoli Theatre. “ This Man is Mine,” the modern comedy-drama, which will start at the Tivoli Theatre to-morrow, presents Irene Dunne in a new version of the eternal triangle theme. In the plot, adapted from the stage hit, “ Love Flies in the Window,” a husband is stolen by a siren, and the wife tries desperately to win him back. However, the methods employed by the siren and the wife, and the stupid but idealistic antics of the husband, provide some of the richest satirical humour and situations the talking screen has yet offered. “ This Man is Mine ” is indeed a splendid picture, and one that holds the interest throughout. Irene Dunne is starred as the neglected wife, and Ralph Bellamy portrays the philandering husband. The supporting cast includes Constance Cummings as the siren, Sidney Blackmer, Kay Johnson, Charles Starrett, Louis Mason and Vivian Tobin. Box plans at the D.I.C.
