Japan Now a Big Exporter. (Special to the. •• Star.-J AUCKLAND. June 11. An importer of eggs to the extent of 20.000.000 yen annus lly five years ago, Japan now produces sufficient for her own requirements and exports considerable quantities of the surplus to Britain and Europe. Japan possesses 70,000,000 laying hens, 90 per cent being White Leghorns. The above information was given today by Mr Ilikosaburo Yogo, of Nagoya, Japan, a representative of the Japanese Chick Sexing Association, who is a through passenger on the Aorangi to Sydney to give a demonstration to poultrvmen of the sex determination of newlv-born chicks. He said that an expert could examine five thousand in a day of six hours.
