“Murder in Trinidad” at Majestic.

The .talking film version of “Murder in Trinidad,” which was selected by the Crime Club as one of the best mystery novels of the year, began at the Majestic Theatre to-day. The book, written by John Yandercook, proved very popular because of its intense and unusual theme. Critics state that the screen play is equally absorbing and exciting. “ Murder in Trinioad ” introduces a new and unusual type of detective—a man who to all appearances is slow moving, awkward and outwardly stupid. Nigel Bruce has the role of Detective Lynch. Heather Angel endows the picture with her romantic charm, and along with Douglas Walton supplies the love In addition, the management is conducting an interesting guessing competition, for which the "first prize is a wireless set.
