IMPOSITION OF LEVY.
British Plan for Tax on Meat Imports. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received May 24, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 23. The Sydney “ Sun ” News Service says that the Government is discussing the subsidising of home-produced beef by imposing a levy on beef imports as an alternative to ieducing foreign and Dominions imports. It is also- considering a national campaign to increase the eating of British beef.
