In the Surrey tennis championships the Japanese, Nishimura, reached the semi-final, beating the New Zealander, M. A. Y’oung, in straight sets, after a hard fight. FRENCH TOURNAMENT. (Received May 24. 2.10 p.m.) PARIS. May 24. In the first round of the AngloFrench tournament Quist (Australia) beat Jourde (France), 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
