Miss Cunard has been working at it for nearly three years, and the result has been very much worth the trouble. To those who know her, the statement that she intends devoting the rest of her life to the negro race is not surprising. For some years, fighting against the oppression of negro peoples has been both the main passion and interest in her life. In London she hat organised a serieg of inter-racial dances, with the object of creating a better understanding between black and white people. She herself lives in one of the poorest quarters of London, leading a life remote from the Mayfair in which her mother is one of the great hostesses.
