Indulgence in golf practice in city parks has increased considerably, and recently a citizen was struck by a golf ball while he was walking through Elmwood Park. This fact was mentioned in the report of the Reserves Committee to the Christchurch City Council last evening. The report added that the committee had power to deal with anyone doing or practising anything to offend or annoy the public within the limits of a park. Instructions have, therefore, been given to the .Superintendent of Reserves that steps were to be taken to deal with persons playing golf in parks to the danger or annoyance of others.
