LATE SIR HENRY WIGRAM.
Many Attend Funeral To-day. A fitting tribute to the memory of the late Sir Henry Wigram was paid by many of his former friends and business associates this afternoon, when the funeral took * place. The cortege left his residence, Park Terrace, for the Riccarton Church}*ard, where a service was conducted by the Rev 11. T. Yorke. Lady Wigram was the chief mourner. She was accompanied by Mr J. G. L. Vernon. The pall-bearers were: Messrs C. H. Hewlett. C. W. Winchester, C. Flavell and J. Shuker (the four oldest members of the staff of the Canterbury, N.Z., Seed Company), A. G. Henderson (editor. '* Christchurch Times ”) and Squadron-Leader J. L. Findlay. Among those present were members of the staff of the Seed Company, which Sir Henry founded, the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.). Legislative Councillors, Squadron-Leader T. M. Wilkes (Director of Air Services), Sir Hugh Acland, Sir Joseph Kinsey and Sir Cyril Ward, as well as many city business men. Wreaths were sent bv the GovernorGeneral (Lord Bledisloe), Rear-Admiral Rurges-Wat-on. and many aero clubs, local bodies and city organisations.
