Singers Will be Heard But Not Seen. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegra ph—Copyrigh t. (Received May 7,2 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 6. Mr William de Mille announces that he is planning cinema productions of famous operas, with motion picture stars playing the leading parts, and operatic stars singing the scores but not appearing on the screen. It is reported that Lawrence Tibbett, Geraldine Farrar and others have agreed that it is impossible simultaneously to concentrate the necessary histrionic and operatic roles, but have indicated that they are willing to sing the parts for others.
