ALEXANDRA HALL DANCE.
The popularity of. the select cld-time ! dances at the Alexandra Hall was j shown on Saturday evening, when, de- \ spite the bad weather conditions, the spacious floor was well filled with dancers, including many visitors from country districts. Jackson's Band supplied the music and supper extras were played by Alessrs T. Duke ) piano) and j M. Hooper (accordeon). During the evening lucky number and Monte Carlo dances w’ere featured, and the first heat of the waltzing competition was decided, resulting in the following finalists: Airs Bfflens and Air A. Beaumont, Mrs James and Air P. Winter and Airs M’Neil and Air Fenton. The assembly will hold its mid-week old-time dance on Wednesday evening at the Alexandra Ilall.
