SWIMMING CLUB’S DANCE.

The Wharenui Swimming Club held its annual dance in the Wharenui schoolroom on Saturday evening. Effective decorations were carried out with Shaded streamers in red and green. The j committee responsible for the supper and dance arrangements comprised: Mesdames L. Wallis, J. Church. C. Knight, L. Hawthorne and J. Al’Ginn; Misses Phyllis Twose and Lily Rylatt; Alessrs L. Wallis (president), E. Hansen (vice-president), T. Newth (club captain), T. Stanton, 11. Carpinter, C. Palmer, N. and L. Watson, J. Lang, J. Al’Ginn and N Clements (honorary secretary). Air Carl Palmer was AI.C. and J. Piper’s Dance Band supplied the music. Aliss O. Chesterman played extras. A Alonte Carlo fox-trot w ? as Won by Aliss Phyllis Lang and Air J. Wilson. Those present included: Mesdames L. Waffle. J. M’Ginn, L. Hawthorne, J. Church, C. Knight, Tt. Dunn and J. Dunn: Misses Phyllis Twose, Tilv Rylatt, Judith Twose, K. JinneD F. Sturt, O. Chesterman (Hokitika), Irene Meharrv. Phyllis Dang, K. Mehurry (Hokitika). Netta Childs, J. Thompson. Joan Bascand. Myra Hepe, Marian White, Rnna Beswick, Marjorie Feteher. P.
