THEFT AND VANDALISM.

Wool and Seed Store Entered.

Vandalism by thieves who broke into Pyne, Gould, Guinness’s wool and seed store in Moorhouse Avenue last evening caused a loss of several pounds. They broke into the place through a window in a lean-to at the back of the store and then made their way to the men’s dining-room. There they ransacked all the cupboards, stealing half a dozen bottles of ginger ale and other soft drinks. That was all they obtained. Apparently in a fit of peevishness, they then went into the seed room alongside, and slashed a number of bags. This morning seeds were found all over the floor.
