“Dick Turpin” and Buck Jones Western. “ One Sunday Afternoon ” and “To the Last Man ” will be shown finally to-night at the Liberty Theatre. The well-known and romantic adventures of Dick Turpin are given a vivid interpretation in the film of the same name, which will head the new double bill at the Liberty Theatre to-morrow night. “ Treason,” starring the popular Buck Jones, "will be screened in support. In “ Dick Turpin,” the virile Victor M’Laglen gives an outstanding performance in the leading role. The famous horse of the outlaw. Bonnie Black Bess, on which the historic ride from London to York was made, is well portrayed. Buck Jones goes back 60 years to the hectic days in Kansas at the close cf the Civil War, when various large armed bands of Confederate sympathisers made a battle-ground of that territory, in his latest Columbia picture. “ Treason.” The stprv takes a leaf from history, presenting Jones in the colourful characterisation cf Jeff Connors, famous Srmy scout, who is detailed to capture and bring back, dead or alive, a remarkable young Joan of Arc of medern times, who has established by might of arms the Republic of South Kansts.
