Bright Musical Comedy Coming to Crystal. “ Girl Without a Room ” win be shewn finally to-night at the Crystal Palace Theatre. “ Too Much Harmony,” the bright musical comedy which will start at the Crystal Palace Theatre to-morrow, has a big cast of screen favourites, including Bing Crosby, Jack Oakie, Skeets Gallagher, Judith Allen, Harry Green, the late Lilyan Tashman and Ned Sparks. The film, the third Bing Crosby has appeared in, reveals him as a musical comedy star who is engaged to the wrong girly a scheming, "gold-digging” blonde. lie falls in love with another girl, campaigns for her behind and before the footlights, and finally wins her after an amusing series of highly interesting sequences. In addition to being the focal point cf the.romantic plot, Crosby sings several brand new tunes, especially composed for him. Jack Oakie and Skeets Gallagher are cast as a team of footlight fools who mistkenly “go high-hat ” when they “ hit Broadway.” Judith Allen provides the romantic interest, and Lilj-an Tasman is the vicious vampire, Harry Green plays the role of a harassed theatrical producer, and Ned Sparks, famous comic, is also in an important comedy role. The film was directed by Edward Sutherland, director of “ Whoopee,” and supplements its cast with a huge chorus of picked Hollywood beauties. Box plans at the D.I.C.
