PLUNKET SOCIETY.
Mrs W. R. Lauohland presided over the monthly meeting of the Woolston - Lin wood sub-branch of the Plunket Society. Others present were: Mesdames H. Ayers, J. Harris, F. Daniel. K. Schute. C. G. Calvert. R. G. Douglas, E. LT. Hogg, J. S. Moore, F. A. Tooley, R. Llngard, G. Basan and A. Douglas. Subscriptions were received from Mesdames J. Harris. F. Daniel. F. C. Rainbow, A. E. B. Turner and A. Douglas and donations from Mesdames Whittington and W. Fairbairn. The committee agreed to hold a card evening or. June 13 in the Plunket Rooms, Chester Street, in aid of branch funds. Nurse Aitkin’s report for Lin wood for the month of April was as follows: Visits paid to homes, 15; visits to room*, adults 94, babies 92, children 2. Measles were still very prevalent. Nurse Hatman’s report for Woolston for '.he month of April was as follows: Visits to rooms, adults 39. babies 35: visits to homes, old cases 16, new cases 13. The committee’s effort for Karitane Hospital, which took the form of a produce stall, realised the sum of £3 ss.
