NORTH BRIGHTON SCHOOL.

The first monthly meeting- of the North Brighton School Committee was held on Tuesday. Present: Messrs A. Florance (chairman), A. 11. Henry, R. H. Mahan, F. j. S. Margetts, A. E. Marriott. F. S. Norrie, J. Sands, W. E. Wilkins and S. S. Freeborn. Air V. W. Colville was also in attendance. The headmaster’s report showed the roll number to be 271). The attendance during the month had been somewhat affected by the measles epidemic. Teams had been entered in the A grade basketball competition and in the football competition for schools of grades 5 and 6. The pegging out and marking of the football grounds were left to Messrs Wilkins, Colville and Diehl. An offer by the North Beach Ladies’ Social school funds was accepted with thanks. It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to the Ladies’ Committee. Messrs Sands and Wilkins were appointed a visiting committee for the month.
