BEAUTIFUL PICTURE.

“Cradle Seng” Season Begins Saturday. “A Cuckoo in the Nest” (Tom Walls and Ralph Lynn) will be shown finally to-morrow night at the Tivoli Theatre “Cradle Song,” a deeply emotional drama of mother love and sacrifice, in which the talented German actress, Dorothea Wieck, makes her American screen debut, will open at the Tivoli Theatre on Saturday. Completely off the beaten track of motion-picture entertainment, “Cradle Song“ is a delicate handling of a difficult theme. The story tells of a child abandoned at a convent, and raised bv one of the sisters. As Sister Joanna, Dorothea Wieck has been longing fer the motherhood denied her. She lavishes on the foundling all the love and affection she would have given to a child of her own. Drama and heartbreak mount to a moving climax when the child, grown to girlhood, meets a young man outside the convent and leaves to marry him. A spiritual quality pervades the entire production, though the characters are sharply and individually etched. Dorothea Wieck brings to the screen a haunting beauty that promises much in the future. SitGuv Standing in one of the principal roles gives a warming and heartfelt performance. Box plans at the D.I.C.
