DISPOSES OF FARM.

Canterbury M.P.’s Property. An important land sale was effected yesterday when Mr J, Connolly, M.P., of Rakaia, disposed of his well-known homestead block, Longlea, to Messrs George Morris and Alex Leish, of Fairlie. Mr Connolly purchased the property in 1919 from Mr Leonard White. It then comprised 3300 acres of good wheat-growing and lamb producing land, but Mr Connolly had since subdivided and sold 2000 acres. The homestead block is a first-class property, with a commodious residence and extensive lawns and garden, and is considered one of the best properties in this part of the country. The price has not been made known, but it is stated that it is well within the productive value of the land.
