RANGIORA NEWS.
Several cases of Rangiora business premises having been visited by burglars have recently been reported to the police. In each case entrance was gained through a back window, and from two shops small sums of money were taken. Personal. Mr R. J. Logan left Rangiora on Thursday for Greymouth, where he has acquired an old-established printing business. It is understood that it is his intention to retain his seat on the Borough Council and attend the monthly meetings. To-day’s Talkie Programme. Norma Shearer's newest photoplay, “Smilin’ Through,” in which she plays a dual role, heads the programme at the Rangiora Town Ilall this afternoon and to-night. “Smilin’ Through” is the sentimental story of a man who, unable to forget a tragedy which happened fifty years earlier in his life, seeks to gain vengeance by thwarting the son of the man who destroyed hi? happiness.
