PIPE BAND MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Canterbury Caledonian Society’s Pipe Band was held in the Caledonian Hall on Tuesday. There were present Mr G. bey, vice-president, Messrs F. O. Neate and R. Fraser, directors of the society, and a full attendance of members. The secretary’s report showed the financial position of the band to be sound, there being a cash balance of £ll3 10s Sd. The receipts were not so good this year, owing to the different sports clubs having to curtail their expense. and the band’s engagements not paying to the same extent other years.
