Miniature Rifle Club Opens Season. There was a large attendance of members at the opening of the Lyttelton Miniature Rifle Club’s season in the Lyttelton Drill Hall last evening The president (Mr A. T. E. Miller), in declaring the season open, congratulated members on the successes of the previous season. Practice shooting was held and supper was served by women members of the club. Holy Trinity Church. At the annual meeting of parishioners of Holy Trinity the following officers were appointed: Vicar’s warden, Dr C. 11. Upham; people’s warden, Mr R H. MTlrov; vestry, Messrs G. Cowan, T- Sowden, W. Peebles, J. Bradburv, E. Muxlow, R. Sowden. S. Tredennick, G. Taylor, and R. Muxlow; auditor, Mr F. E. Sutton. Association Football. _ The following team will represent the Lyttelton Association Football Club in a match against Western at Hagley Park at 2.->0 p.m. to-morrow: A. Gordon. J. Baines, B. Jeffery, A. Prescott. B. Mullon, A. M’Leod, N. Goodmanson. D. Sou ter, J. Souter, T. Gorry, A. Reid, D. Smith, W. Ross and J. Hannah. On May 5, Lyttelton has l>een invited to play a representative Christchurch team as a curtain-raiser to the Charitv Cup. May Day Party. A children’s May Dav party will be field by the Lyttelton Plunket Society in the Excelsior Hall, Lyttelton, tomorrow afternoon, starting at 2.30 o’clock. Plain or fancy dress is optional, but prizes will be given for | fancy and original costumes. Governor’s Bay School. The following school committee was elected at Governor’s Bay: Messrs IT. Crow (chairman), \V. Carpenter, J. Griffen, 11. Hall and V. Wilkins.
