China’s “ Christian General ” Now a Buddhist. PEKIN, April 12. Feng Yu-hsiang, formerly known as the Christian General, who retired to a temple on Taishan, China’s holy mountain, in the Shantung Province, last autumn, has now embraced the Buddhist faith. He has also become a vegetarian. Every morning, according to a dispatch published in the Chinese Press, he spends an hour studying the Buddhist scriptures, followed by Chinese boxing, in which he is said to h-.\e become highly proficient.
