Mrs G. Henry, Watford Street, left last evening on a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs C. H. Broad, Nelson, who have been visiting Christchurch, returned home this morning. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Robinson, Fendalton, have returned home from a visit to Timaru. Mr and Mrs A Goodwin, Pigeon Bay, are spending a short holiday in Timaru. Mrs Davison, Lowry Peaks, Culverden, is staying with Miss Eileen Didsbury, Wellington. Mrs L. Hansen and Miss N. Capel. Leinster Road, left on Tuesday evening for the North Island. Mrs W. I. Bolam, Rugby Street, will return home on Saturday from a holiday spent in Auckland and Napier. Miss Z Bonnington, Wills Street, Ashburton, who has been spending several months in Sydney, returned to her home yesterday. Miss Yvonne Levvey will leave Auckland bn June 2 by the Mariposa on a trip to America. She will spend from six to eight months with friends.in the United States. Mr and Mrs W. Campbell. Wellington, who have been the guests of Miss M. E. Kincaid, Wroxton Terrace, will leave to-day for Ilanmer Springs. As Mrs H. T. J. Thacker w’ill not be in Christchurch for Poppy Day, Mrs J. S. Kelly will be in charge of her stand. It is requested that helpers report to her.
Miss Dorothy Trott, Lake Tekapo, is visiting friends in Christchurch. Miss Gertrude Trolove, The Shades, is visiting Christchurch. Miss Margaret Churchward, The Moorings, Springiands, is the guest of Miss Helen Waddy, The Waterfalls. Mrs Miles Acton-Adams, ( larence Reserve, Kaikoura, will visit Christchurch for Miss Adine Acton-Adams’s wedding next week. Misses Agatha and Pauline Upham, Helen Buchanan and Mary Alexander will visit Timaru next week for Miss Josephine Elworthv’s wedding. Miss Nancy Grigg, Meadowbank, Marlborough, who has been visiting Hawke’s Bay for the Grigg-Blyth wedding, has returned home. Miss Helen Gunn, Aikman's Road, accompanied by Mrs Macalister «nd Mr and Mrs H. de J. Clere, Wellington, will leave Wellington to-morrow for Sydney en route to the East. Mr and Mrs Harold Tovey, England, who have been touring New Zealand for some time, and who spent last week in Christchurch, left on Tuesday to visit Mrs C. G. Teschemaker, Avondale, Marlborough. Dr and Mrs A. J. Harrop. who have been visiting Dr and Mrs J. Hight, Merivale, will leave to-day for Oamaru, where they will stay with Mr F. Milner, before proceeding on Saturday to Dunedin. Next week, Dr Harrcp will tour the Southern Lakes district, and Mrs Harrop will return to Christchurch to stay with friends.
