Rumours About Stratford Seat. TV ELLINGTON, April 1.9 The rumour that the Minister of Education (the lion R. Masters) intends to contest the Stratford seat at the next election has been denied by Mr Masters. “ I do not know anything about it,” he said. “A lot of water will flawunder the bridge in the next nineteen months, and there will be no election before then.” Recently it was suggested that when Mr C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. for Egmont, who has already announced his intention of retiring at the end of his present term, vacates his seat. Mr W J. Poison, the present Coalition member for Stratford, would retire to con test the Egmont seat, while Mr Masters would contest the Stratford seat. Mi Poison has also denied any knowledge of the suggestion
