Flood Dam?-e on West Coast Repaired.
Railway traffic to the West Coast was resumed to-day. when the washout at Poerua was repaired. The gangs finished work at 9.30 a.m, and the ordinary train services were reinstated without necessity for passengers to detrain. The heavy rain at Arthur’s Pass on Tuesday resulted in flooded rivers and creeks. At both M’Grath’s Creek and Rough Creek cars were held up, and at least two had to be left in the stream overnight The creeks are now at their normal level There was no serious damage to the road.
