SHE WROTE ON SEX.
Girl of 12 Appears Before Court. LONDON, April 8 A father appealed to a iuvenile court at Romford. Essex, to send his twelve-vear-old daughter to an industrial school as he was unable to con trol her. She used abominable language, he said, and the magistrates had already seen some of her writings on sexual subjects. In January she ran awav and was missing for two days and flights. In recent months she had been found to be absent from school on thirty-three occasions. She had spread false stories to the effect that he had been ill-treating her. with the result that the National Societv for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children had made an investigation. He had the girl examined by two doctors to protect himself against these rumours, and thev proved that the stories were quite untrue. Miss Ilenerv. the court probationary officer. said the child had resented her father marrving again. The Bench ordered her to be sent to an industrial school for three weeks, and then to appear before them again.
