The Misses Nelson, Samoa, left Christchurch for Wellington last evening. Mrs W. 11. Cowper, Merivale Lane, left on Saturday for a fortnight's holiday in tne North Island. The Prime Minister and Mrs Forbes were passengers for Wellington by last night’s inter-island steamer. - Mrs 11. Phillips, Waikari, has returned home from a holiday visit to Christchurch. Mrs F. Cargill, Peterborough Street West, who has been staying in Dunedin, returned home on Saturday. Aliss Adine Acton-Adams, who has been visiting Mrs M. F. Macfarlane, Waikari, has returned home. Mrs A. Slade, Palmer's Road, New Brighton, left on Saturday night for Wellington, where she will spend a few days before leaving for Auckland. Miss Annas Gale will leave Christchurch on May 9 for Wellington, where she will join the Wanganella for Sydney. Mrs Harrison, Khandallah, Papanui Road, is the guest of Her son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Roscoe Harrison, Peraki, Little River. Mrs G. Leslie Rutherford, Macdonald Downs, Ilawarden, who has been spending several weeks at her house in Sumner, will return home this week. Mrs J. Whyte, Miss Christina Whyte and Miss Mary Whyte, left Christchurch on Saturday morning for their home in Ijrvercargill. Miss Billie Strachan left Christchurch last evening for Wellington, en route for Rarotonga, where her marriage will take place. Captain and Mrs L. W. D. Gundry, Devizes, Wiltshire, England, are the guests of Mr and Mrs C. J. Cradock, Little River. Captain and Mrs Gundry, who have been living in England for twenty-six years, will return by the Rangitata on May 11.

J.P., Wellington, left yesterday for Dunedin. Miss Neller, Rangiora, will leave for Wellington this week to visit Mrs O. Stewart, Heretaunga. Mrs A. J. Parris, Henry Street, Blenheim, has returned from a visit to Christchurch. Miss G. Wood, Christchurch, is the guest of Miss Kathleen Lissaman, Waireka. Mrs G. A. Hillman, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned to Blenheim. Miss K. Stott, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Herbert Hudson, Knowles Street, St Albans. Miss Innes Gould, Sydney, who has been visiting Mrs Endell Wanklyn, Rossall Street, left for Dunedin yesterday to stay with Mrs John Cook. Mr and Mrs Noel Newton, Rossall Street, will leave to-night for the North Island and will spend three weeks fishing at Lake Taupo. Miss Mae Hall, Fendalton Road, will leave early next week to spend a holiday with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs Douglas Hall, Taumaruiiui. Miss Maisie Jamieson, Deans Avenue, who was the guest of Miss Margaret LeCren, Grey Road, Timaru, has returned home. Mr and Mrs L. O. Chamberlaine, Christchurch, who have been the guests of Mrs E. E. Weavers, Kaikoura, have returned home. The Misses Leversedge, Havelock, are visiting Christchurch before proceeding to Brisbane, where they will spend the winter. Miss Nancy Flynn, Auckland, returned home last evening after spending several weeks with Miss Jane Donnelly, liagley Street. Miss Betty Rutherford, Macdonald Downs, Hawarden, who will leave on Monday for Dunedin, where she will play in the golf tournament, will be the guest of Mrs H. C. Dodgshun. Mr and Mrs T. C. Robinson and their daughter, Dorothy, Mount Palm, North Canterbury, are touring the North Island, and are the guests of Mr A. R. Robinson at Hiamo, Cambridge.
