WAIMATE RACING CLUB.

(Special to the “ Star.”) WAIMATE, April 16. At a meeting of the committee of the Waimate Racing Club, the president (Mr G. A. M'Culloch) was in the chair. The Racing Conference wrote drawing attention to the mandatory nature of Rule 302 in regard to interference by foul, careless or incompetent riding, during a race, suspension from riding or disqualification for a period being prescribed, and a fine or caution would not comply with the rule. The stationmaster at Waimate advised that train arrangements similar to those granted last year had been made for the coming meeting. The secretary reported that seventy-eight horses had accepted for the race meeting. This he considered satisfactory, considering the times.
