ENGINEERING DISPUTE.

A comprehensive award to cover engineers, moulders and boilermakers in New Zealand (except Wellington) is to be sought in the near future, and conciliation proceedings have been set down for hearing at Christchurch on May 8 and 9. At the present time there is no award covering these sections of the engineering trade, the eld award having expired in 1932. Several attempts to secure agreements in the past year or so have failed, although in Wellington the engineers were -Cole to arrange a separate agreement.
