HIGHWAYS BOARD TOUR.
Members of the Main Highways arrive in Christchurch on Friday morning, and will proceed as far as Kaikoura, where they will be entertained by the Kaikoura County Council in the evening. The board will have a busy day as it has contracted to , receive deputations at various points on the trip to Kaikoura. On Saturday morning they will meet representatives of local bodies and motoring interests at Seddon, Blenheim and Marlborough and will end up the dav At Nelson in the evening. From Nelson the party will go to the West Coast, returning to Christchurch on April 30 via the Otira Gorge and Arthur’s Pass.
