Wellington’s Affiliation is Cancelled. Per Press Association. WKLLtiNGTCjX, AplMl 12. The affiliation of the Wellington Rugby League Was cancelled by the New Zealand League Council at. a meeting to-night. The president, Air C. A. Sneddon, said that tire action was due to inactivity on the part of the present executive in Wellington. No effort would he made to ploy the code in Wellington this season. A long discussion took place on an appeal by the Canterbury Referees Association against the suspension of a player for the remainder or the season by the Canterbury League for striking a referee. The Referees' Association asked that the suspension he increased to ten years. ft was decided to Increase the suspension by twelve months.
