TRANSPORT BOARD.
Christchurch Sitting is Continued. The Christchurch sitting of the Transport Co-ordination Appeal Board was continued to-day. Sir Stephen Allen presided, and with him were associated Messrs H. B. S. Johnatone and L. Alderton. The board delivered its reserved decision in the appeal of F. Klderton, who asked for a route between Rangiori and Christchurch. The appeal was allowed and a license for an area within thre® miles radius of the Rangtora Post Office, together with a separate license for Chrifitchurch-Rangiora via the Main North Road, was granted, subject to (a> persons not being allowed on the service imjess all the requirements of the Act had been complied with: fb' one vehicle authority to be issued; and Cc) no order for costs. Canrlage of Petrol. The appeal of Smart and Sona, Ltd.. Hornby, was allowed. A route license for the transport of petrol and oil and goods from Hdrnby to Lyttelton was granted and three vehicle authorities were granted.
