ENTERS FOR AIR RACE.

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Gets Machine. SYDNEY, April 12. Sir Charles Ivingsford-Smith announced to-day that he had entered for the Melbourne Centenary Air Race, using a Comet aeroplane, one of the six British mystery machines specially built for this race. Its cost was being defrayed by an anonymous Australian backer. His co-pilot in the air race will be Captain P. G. Taylor. The pair will leave for England in July to test the machine.
