PRINCE GEORGE’S TOUR.

It has been rumoured that a special staff has been engaged at the Addington Workshops to build a Royal carriage for the projected visit of his Royal Highness Prince George, but inquiries fail to substantiate this. No instructions have been issued by the Railways Department for such an undertaking. The car that was built for their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of York is still in commission, and has been used on several occasions by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe. It is believed that unless the Government decides to go to the expense of building another car. Prince George will travel in the car used by his Royal brother. The car is still in excellent order, and, with some slight renovations, would be brought up-to-date in every respect.
