“GOOD COMPANIONS”

“ The Good Companions,” the talking screen adaptation of J. B. Priestley’s famous best-seller of the same name, is having a return season at the Grand Theatre this week. It is a delightful show, so different from nything previously seen in the city. The large cast includes Edmund Gwenn, John Geilgud, Mary Glynne and Jessie Matthews. “ The Good Companions ” is everybody’s picture, but its main appeal lies in the faithful portrayal of distinctive tvpes, familiar to anyone who knows England. An attractive allBritish supporting programme is also screened.
