Canterbury Association j Meets. OPENING MATCHES. The Management Committee of the | Canterbury Football Association met . last evening, Mr J. E. Jones presiding. Mr G. Yates took his seat on the council as the representative of the boys’ division. The City Council advised that a j ground at Richmond Park would be available to the association this season. In connection with the '*ecentlyadopteC resolution providing hat no ! club be allowed to enter a senior team I unless it also enter at least one team ! below junior grade, the Rangers’ Club I wrote asking that the operation of tanresolution be suspended until next ] season. The letter stated that rhe 1 club could enter only one team—in tne senior grade. A letter from the Thistle Club, entering one senior team and one junior team, was taken in conjunction with the Rangers Club's letter. Mr B. O. Priddis moved that the Rangers Club’s request be granted. After the chairman had ruled that such a step would he in order, the moiim was put and lost. On Mr J. N. Macfnrlane’s motion, the entries received were accepted, subject to the clubs complying with tiie terms of the resolution passed at the annual meeting. It was decided to play the Charity Cup match on the fourth playing c?aturaay. Mr B. O. Priddis was appointed sole selector for the senior anu Mr C. E.
