RUGBY ON THE AIR.

Terms for Broadcast of Club Games. The Canterbury Rugby Union has decided to make an offer to the Broadcasting Board for the broadcasting of the club games played under the union's jurisdiction this season. The terms of the offer were debated at great length, in committee, at the meeting of the union’s executive last evening, following the report of a special committee, and will be made subject to the approval of the Lancaster Park Board of Control. The union proposes that the board should pay £4 a broadcast for alternate club matches at the Lancaster Park Oval, and that the union should have the right every Friday night to broadcast announcements relating to Rugby. The broadcasting of provincial matches will be considered at a later stage.
