FINE COMEDY-DRAMA.
Tom Walls Has Lead in “ The Blarney Stone.” Tom Walls, an actor whose work is always meritorious, has never been seen to better advantage than in the fine British film, “ The Blarney Stone,” now in its second week at the Civic Theatre. Introducing a definite dramatic touch, this production gives Walls a double opportunity to prove himself one of the foremost stars of to-day. No matter what is anticipated of “ The Blarney Stone,” it is impossible to be disappointed, for it is a film that is general in its appeal It is neither wholly drama nor comedy, but has a full measure of both. The story concerns the humorous and dramatic happenings that befall an Irish gentleman who possessed the good fortune of having kissed the Blarney Stone and resultingly incurred some of the goocl fortune it is reputed to exude. A select cast, including the beautiful Ann Grey, all help to make “ The Blarney Stone ” excellent entertainment. Plans are open at the theatre from 10 a.m., where seats may be reserved at no extra cost.
