SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

Nominations Will Close To-night. Nominations for the committees of all schools which had an average attendance of more than 240 pupils last year will close with the chairmen of the outgoing committees to-night at 8 o’clock. The nominations must be in writing, and the elections will take place at the meetings of householders on Monday next. Schools which had an average attendance of under 240 pupils last year will have committees elected from among persons nominated at the householders’ meetings. Under the amending legislation passed last session, the committees elected next Monday will hold office for two years. In the past the committees have been elected annually.
