ELMWOOD BOWLING CLUB.
Cclosing day of the season for the Elmwood Bowling Club was marked by a splendid turnout of members. An interesting contest was staged in which fourteen rinks of three men aside took Part for trophies presented by the Hon D. Buddo. Three games of an hour *Pj* ce played - an <* thr *e teams tied with three wins each. They were Diniond Dalrymple, ,T. R. Smoth (s.). iff? 1 ..! 0 P°| ntR : Bourke. Hoff and Bartlett, 39; and Fry, Lohrey and Taylor, 37. The president. Mr A. Symo, thanked Mr Buddo and said lie hoped to find the ciub making progress next season The handicap events have been completed. In the singles the section winners were Hayman, Lennie and J. R. Smith. Hayman drew the bye. Smith beat Lennie 21 to 14 and Hayman bv 2° to 10. In the roubles Dott anc? Smith beat Brookes and Bartlett. These successes ccld to J. R. Smith’s reputation as a r it ch player.
