STOCK EXCHANGE RESUMES

The Christchurch Stock Exchange in common with the other affiliated ’exchanges of New Zealand, resumed business this morning after the Easter hoiidays, which had extended from Thursday, March 29. Markets generally were firm on the closing rates. The outstanding feature of this morning’s call was the sharp rise in Mahakipawa Goldfields shares.
