POLICE CHANGES.
New Sub-Inspector For Christchurch. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. April 5. Promotions and transfers in the New Zealand Police Force were announced by the Commissioner (Mr W. G. Wohlmann) as follows: Inspector A S. Bird, of Timaru. is promoted to the rank of superintendent. Inspector C. W. Lopdell, of Greymouth. is transferred to Hamilton to replace Inspector D. C. Fraser, who is transferred to Dunedin as superintendent. Sub-Inspector D. Cameron, of Dunedin, is promoted to be inspector at Greymouth Sub-Inspector T Shannahan, of Auckland, is promoted to be inspector at Dunedin Senior-Sergeant T. Powell, of Whan garei. is promoted to the rank of subinspector and is transferred to Christchurch. Sub-Inspector G. B. Edwards, of Christchurch is transferred to Auckland. Senior-Sergeant E. Finch, of Newmarket, succeeds Senior-Sergeant Powell at Whangarei,
