Mr and Mrs W. Greenslade. Edward Avenue, St Albans, announce the engagement of their eldest daughter, Roma Enid, to Nelson Trevor, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Prislc, Ferry Road, Christchurch. The engagement is announced of Margaret Jan Maud, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. J. LeCren, Grey Road, Timaru, and Cyril Ronald, son of Mr and Mrs H. A. Raines, Wilson Street, Timaru. The engagement is announced in the “ Morning Post ” between William Sandilands Douglas, only son of Mr and Mrs James Douglas, 21, Hope Street, Edinburgh, and Muriel, only daughter of Mrs Bain Dickie, No. 1 Learmouth Terrace, Edinburgh. Miss Bain Dickie’s mother is the widow of the late Mr Alfred E. Cooke, who was a well-known footballer and played for the Merivale Club, Christchurch. She was formerly Miss Maud Wearn. The engagement is announced between Robert Ross Munro, only son of Mr and Mrs D. Munro. Hereford Street, Christchurch, and Grace, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Steffens, Armagh Street, Christchurch.
